Reena joined Chambers in September 2017 after completing her pupillage.
She practises across Chambers' areas of practice. Reena appears regularly before the Environment and Land Use Appeals Tribunal, the District and Intermediate Courts and the Family Division of the Supreme Court. She also has experience before the Commercial Division of the Supreme Court.
OTHER PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Reena has experience in the financial sector.
She previously worked as a corporate service officer in the offshore sector and was involved in setting up and managing client portfolios of trusts and investment-holding companies.
She has also worked as the Assistant to the Head of Legal Services of the British American Investments Co. Ltd.
She also spent some 10 years working at the Group Compliance Business Unit of the Mauritius Commercial Bank Ltd, where she was involved in preparing regulatory and legal impact assessments, data analysis and reporting to the Bank of Mauritius. She also has experience preparing compliance reports and anti-money laundering procedural assessments and training.
Reena is a member of the Mauritius Bar Association and the Honourable Society of the Gray's Inn.
